What’s the One Step Before Finishing a Project You’d Want to Automate?

What’s the One Step Before Finishing a Project You’d Want to Automate?

As a knowledge worker, l have tons of notes and files. Even with so many productivity tools and AI, sometimes it just feels like more tools = more clutter. The more I use, the less I’m sure if I’m actually being "productive"  So, what are we mainly aiming for creating notes and file? to finish reports? Tracking progress...?
I am thinking, If you could automate one step in getting things done, what would it be?
For example:

* Auto-sorting and categorizing files
* Extracting key points from documents?
* Generating charts or visualizations
* Summarizing content or directly answering specific questions when I upload the file.

Would love to hear what’s the hardest part about staying organized, and where do you think automation could actually help?🤔

Is SaaS Done?

Is SaaS Done?

Other day I was talking to one of the leaders in Office, He said "SAAS IS DY!NG THANKS TO AI". I found this fascinating & started digging on this, I was already part of communities like Build in Public, NoCode Builders & Others. I think he was right.

I saw a significant raise in the AI Tools, what other call it 'AI Wrapper Startups' I explored many tools, then I realise why don't we capitalise this opportunity. I found out it is the marketers who needs to be aware of these & if you don't embrace these tools you will end up losing to someone with minimum experience with marketing but good hands on experience with the tools. If these tools keep up the same phase then you have both challenges & opportunities which I've listed it down in the post pros & cons.

I think we need to embrace these tools are else we will be left behind. All these things are about marketers but what about the people who want to become solopreneurs or people like Pieter Levels who just want to create something useful get money either by selling or running multiple projects at once.

Whatever I've studied & learnt. I came up with something called "The SaaS Marketing Innovation Cycle". The SaaS Marketing Innovation Cycle : Will have six easy steps.

1. Empowering with No-code : Decide what is the problem you are planing to solve & understand which is No-code tool can help you with solution. Some tools will have steep learning curve, become expert on those tools.

2. Integrate Automation AI : This is very crucial for your tool & make sure you have build a tool which will integrates easily with most of the platforms.

3. Build Custom Solution : Right now the whole industry of Micro SaaS stands on building custom solutions, catering your audience is the best way to go for it.

4. Launching MVPs : Because you have no-code tools it is easier to deploy MVPs than ever before & you can build multiple tools at once.

5. Adapt & Grow : This is about the business take feedback from customer add new feature remove few yada yada.

6. Leverage the Growth : Here it is important you have learn to build communities out these tools. if you come up with any new ideas there is always a group of people, who will be able adapt & give you the feedback to improve.

Conclusion : Either build something or adapt something quicker when that has built.

What do you think Folks ??

What do you think of SaaS 2.0: Service-as-a-Software?
Reddit

What do you think of SaaS 2.0: Service-as-a-Software?

A new term has recently emerged in the business world:
**Service-as-a-Software** a.k.a. **SaaS 2.0**

In general, some authors of articles promoting this term assume that the new and rapidly growing possibilities offered by AI and automation mean that problems that were previously too individual or support-intensive can now be tackled. The focus is on (human) service on the customer side and the background processes in the company are fully AI-supported and automated. Unlike traditional SaaS, no software is primarily offered here as self-use.

In other words:
**"Service as a Software" (SaaS 2.0)** is a new type of business model that mixes software automation with real human support. Unlike traditional SaaS, which provides self-service tools for users to solve problems on their own, SaaS 2.0 focuses on delivering results by combining technology with human expertise.

In this model, software handles repetitive tasks like data processing, scheduling, or matching, while humans step in to provide guidance, handle exceptions, or solve complex issues. This approach is often called **Human-in-the-Loop** because humans are actively involved in key parts of the process, ensuring a personalized and empathetic experience for the customer.

SaaS 2.0 is especially useful in industries like healthcare, education, or elderly care placement, where trust and personalization are critical. For example, a traditional SaaS might offer a tool to search for care homes, while a SaaS 2.0 solution would also provide a care consultant to help families make the best choice. In this case no traditional marketplace is needed where the supply and demand side used to be scaled simultaneously. Instead, an AI can now search for the best match for a place in a retirement home and a human in the loop can be the external face for the customer and the retirement homes and thus act as an agent.

By automating routine tasks and using humans for high-value touchpoints, SaaS 2.0 delivers better outcomes, builds stronger relationships with customers, and stands out from traditional software that relies only on automation.

What do you think about the potential of this concept?

Idea feedback: Send AI prompts to multiple macOS apps at once

Hi everyone,

I found myself frequently copy-pasting prompts to multiple AI chat bots to gather different perspectives, or compare the quality of AI models for different tasks. I built a native macOS app that automates the whole process of copy-pasting the prompts to one or more apps. Here's a quick demo:

https://i.redd.it/gm7p8qg3sq7e1.gif

**How it works**:

* Via a customizable global shortcut, an overlay appears.
* You type the text you wanna send, select one or more target apps/windows, hit cmd+enter.
* Text is sent to selected windows at the cursor location.

I'm looking for your early feedback on app's usability, design, and features that would make it more valuable for your daily workflows. What would make this a must-have tool for you?

Is striking a balance between learning Python for AI tools creation and pursuing filmmaking/editing a realistic goal?

Is striking a balance between learning Python for AI tools creation and pursuing filmmaking/editing a realistic goal?

I've been drawn into the world of AI and automation and want to harness it for tool creation as I get lots of ideas and see the value in learning Python for that, even if I learn no code tools as python help with advanced functions I heard? (I’m totally not a coder)

But I also have other interests like designing life management systems like in Notion, also really want to learn filmmaking and editing

That being said, Is it possible to learn python and AI tool building without having it take most of my time? Is it realistic for it to be on the side while I pursue these other interests?

I know notion and designing systems can be related and work side by side to tool building, but what if I don’t really wanna be a coder and spend all my time doing that? 😔

Steep Learning : How I Mapped approximately 10K AI tools to 15K Replaceable Tasks across 4K professions

Hello Everyone ,

I would like to share some knowledge today which I went towards countless hours to do .

I founded a portal called Seekme.ai, a comprehensive platform that houses over 10,000 AI tools and resources. Today, I'm excited to share with you an insightful and enlightening journey of how I mapped these tools to 15,000 tasks across 4,000 professions. This process, which I've named "Learn by Doing," got me the power of determination, collaboration, and adaptability.

The Idea:

It all started when I recognized the need for a more efficient and accessible way for professionals to understand which AI tools could help them automate their tasks. The traditional approach of manually researching and testing each AI tool for every profession was time-consuming and inefficient. I envisioned a solution that could streamline this process, making AI adoption easier and more accessible for a broader audience.

The Planning:

To begin, we needed a clear understanding of the task landscape across various professions. With the help of some Reddit communities , we embarked on an extensive study of common tasks in various industries. We utilized various sources, including government reports, industry surveys, and academic research, to create a comprehensive list of tasks. The result was an impressive list of 15,000 tasks.

The Mapping:
With the list of tasks in hand, the next step was to identify which AI tools could perform these tasks. I meticulously researched and analyzed each AI tool's capabilities and features. We cross-referenced this information with the tasks I had identified and created a mapping between the two. The process involved a significant amount of collaboration and refinement, as we continually updated and expanded our database of AI tools and tasks.

The Challenges:

The mapping process was not without its challenges.

One of the primary obstacles was ensuring the accuracy and completeness of our data. To address this issue, I implemented a rigorous quality control process that included multiple rounds of checks and validations.I also established partnerships with industry experts and AI vendors to ensure our data was up-to-date and accurate.

There is also a challenge that I faced was what is the quality of the tools which is the problem and how do I rank multiple tools if they do the same tasks without user feedback

The Results:

After months of hard work and dedication, I successfully mapped 10,000 AI tools to 15,000 tasks across 4,000 professions. Our new feature, AI by Profession, was born. This innovative will allow users to quickly and easily identify the AI tools that can automate tasks in their profession, making AI adoption more
accessible and efficient than ever before.

The Impact:

The impact of this project has been significant. By making it easier for professionals to identify AI tools that can automate tasks in their industry, we're helping to drive productivity, efficiency, and innovation. Our users are saving time and resources by not having to manually research and test AI tools. Furthermore, we're contributing to the broader goal of democratizing AI and making it accessible to a broader audience.

But there is a still an issue we face of ranking tools who does the similar job.

For instance for content creation there 10 tools that can do same video editing so how do we rank it . We are planning to add categories to this to make it more exhaustive

Conclusion:

The journey to mapping 10,000 AI tools for 15,000 tasks across 4,000 professions was a challenging and rewarding experience. It required a significant amount of planning, determination, and collaboration, but the end result was a powerful tool that's making a difference in the lives of professionals around the world. I don’t know yet how useful it is yet for users

So I am inviting you all to see if this feature can help you better equip yourself on the new wave and do things better.

I am always up for a chat on anything AI and provide my help if needed.

Looking forward to some feedback aswell

Would you use an AI internal linking tool?
Reddit

Would you use an AI internal linking tool?

What I mean by this is a tool to help you manage / visualise, and then automatically write, internal links across your website. It would be able to link between pages, in a semantically relevant way, and would also be able to operate according to an internal linking strategy, such as topic clusters.

Of course you’d be able to approve any links before it applied them, it wouldn’t just add them without any oversight (unless you wanted that). And it would use the same style and tone of voice as your existing pages.

I’m trying to think of what such a tool would need to be useful. Here’s my ideas so far:

1. Able to scrape any type of website, i.e. is not a plugin that only works with Wordpress for example.
2. Some way of importing these links into your CMS of choice perhaps? Or might people prefer to do that manually?
3. Full API access so you can fully automate the entire process (perfect for those who want to attempt fully AI written sites).
4. Ability to suggest places to remove internal links where you have written too many, or a page has too many links relative to other ones.
5. Custom user agents, so you can ensure that your firewall doesn’t block the tool

So, would people find something like this useful, or is this a poor idea due to something I’ve not considered?
