What level of understanding of AI do I need?

Would really appreciate some advice if anyone can help out!

So I'm a 20 year old student currently doing regular internships in accounting. I use a lot of my spare time to build small businesses that I find fun to build.

I have very little coding experience besides basic courses besides a bit of experience with react when building an app with a more technically competent partner.

I've concluded 3 things:

1.I want to add the power of AI to my arsenal, whether in work or in business

2.I don't think I'd have the time or experience to be an absolute expert in AI

3.There's a lot of small tech shy businesses in my area which I think could benefit from AI, particularly in accounting automation. I'd love to introduce it to them through some sort of agency.

4.Ideally I want to be competent enough in AI to be able to start an AI based business (probably in finance) with a more technical developer who I can at least communicate with.

So my question is, what level do I need? Should I learn all the complex maths behind it and the first principles, or just learn how to harness the powerful tools already out there? If either, could you point me in the right direction for resources? Thanks!
