What is Vibe Coding, should you Learn It?
Vibe coding is coding with Ai as the Ai creates the boilerplate code for you. But does that mean you don't need to understand coding/development?

You should never do what's easy. If it's cheap, easy and widely available, it means a lot of people doing it which drives the salaries in that industry down.
Telling a coder to learn a vibe coding is the same as telling a Java programmer to learn Wordpress. NO! Always, I repeat, always learn and do the hard, tedious, boring stuff.
vibe coding is literally the next iteration of no code tools... you can do some basic stuff with it, but the moment you want something more specific , it breaks down.
I don't see it becoming the next way to code , I see it as becoming the next way to do no code
Vibe coding is cringe... maybe after 10 years usable
I've been attempting to build a saas site with Cursor in React. Deploying to firebase and using firestore. It will do a fine job at times and then other times completely break the application when you suggest a simple change. You must commit after any changes AI makes that you like because it could easily rewrite it all and break it at any point. You will definitely need a strong background in development as there are instances where Cursor just couldn't figure it out and I had to manually intervene. It's interesting but not taking my job anytime soon.
Fundamentals are always needed!
