I've run this experiment multiple times: I give an AI a simple task—like building a React app or a data-processing script in Python. At first, LLMs generate a solid basic version quickly. But as I iterate, adding more constraints and features, things start to break down. After three or four iterations, two problems emerge:
1. Explaining my intent clearly in text becomes increasingly difficult.
2. Fine-tuning prompts becomes less efficient than just writing the code myself.
I believe human languages (English, Hindi, etc.) aren’t designed for instructing computers. When explaining something to a human developer, we rely heavily on their past experiences, using visualization, sketches, and examples to clarify intent. In contrast, prompts depend entirely on text. While LLMs do support images and documents, they still struggle to stitch together context from multiple sources and fully grasp complex requirements.
