I've always been intimidated by back end so I've been learning from vibe coding. I ask the agent to add documentation and explain implementation plans so I can actually grow my skills from doing it.
Vibe coding is creating job security for people that actually understand how the code works. Thank you vibe coding! When shit hits the fan, I'll make millions.
Hi. I went blind 3 years ago. Vibecoding has allowed me to not only enjoy video games again, but bring some of the ideas I've had to life that I thought I'd never get a chance to do ever again. It doesn't matter who is right or who is wrong. Everything means something to somebody. To deny anothers experience just because it doesn't align with what you think the experience should be...? Doesn't help anyone. It goes both ways. I can only begin to imagine how frustrating and even painful it must be for some people to have gone through years of hard work to learn something, just for people who put in no work at all to come along and start claiming your craft as theirs. Shit like that I imagine is similar to when I lost my vision, like your whole world is crumbling apart. I've done denial many times, it only leads to more suffering. Please, just live your life and do what makes you happy. No matter what others say. In turn, just let others do what makes them happy. Even if it seems foolish to you. Lets all have a little more compassion for each other please and stop playing the "Whose right and whose wrong? game.
Even if you know how to code, AI makes such a huge difference. You can do in hours what used to take weeks or months. You just say 'I wish ...' and it happens. Somtimes, after a successful prompt, I jump from my chair because I remember how long the same stuff used to take only two years ago. I can tackle new ideas and be confident that I will get a working result. Most of the time, the AI just waits patiently until I come up with the next idea.
Once computing power reaches its next leap and AI surpasses human-level creative intelligence, imagine just feeding game footage of popular titles to an advanced system and commanding: 'Use this as inspiration to generate entirely new worlds. Make every playthrough dynamically unique, endlessly surprising, and fundamentally fun at its core.' The future of procedural generation will redefine gaming itself.
