MS in Computer Science student (non-tech bachelor) applying for first Machine Learning intern/coop
Hi, I am an international student in the U.S applying for my first co-op for a Machine Learning/AI role, would love to get some advice on my current resume, thanks.
I am currently in my second last semester of my 2 year's masters program in CS. I had no tech background before this program and was working in higher education administration.
I have applied to about 50 positions so far on LinkedIn and HandShake and have had no responses but a few rejection emails.
If you are a Machine learning professional, please help if I could improve my current project sections, I have two projects I am working on and hoping to swap them in after I finish them by the end of this semester: (1)Adaptive Learning curriculum for Spanish Language Learning (Duolingo-Inspired), which tailors lessons based on user's daily interactions (e.g., bar conversations, gym interactions). (2) DEI analytics and how they impact student performances and career outcome in Higher Ed. My interests lies in using ML in EdTech and Higher Education. But before finishing them, are my current projects passable?
Also any suggestion to enhance my work experience section since they are not tech-related? Thanks!
